I think we all have those TV shows favourites that we can always go back to and enjoy watching over again. I have quite a few of my all time favourite TV shows, so I was inspired to write this blog post to share my all time favourite TV shows. I’m a person that enjoys a little bit of trash TV every now and then. I gotta say I do enjoy watching TLC shows sometimes, especially their 90 day fiance spin offs. 90 day fiance shows are definitely super interesting and the whole concept is really enjoyable to watch. Today I’ll share my 6 TV shows that I can always watch and enjoy like I’m watching them for the first time.
Sex and the City
This is my all time favourite series. I don’t know how many times I re-watched this series and two movies they made. I just enjoy watching Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Their interaction and views of relationships is just so interesting and a lot of times so relatable that the series is just one of those all time classic TV shows that can’t get old. I’m also such a fashionista. I love clothes and accessories, so watching a series that is filled with fashion is always a great option for me. I enjoyed “And just like that” also, but I have to say it doesn’t even come close to the original series. I also watched “Carrie Diaries” which is supposed to be like a prequel to Sex and the City, but that one was not that interesting to me. Sex and the City is my all time favourite TV show, I just love it.
Rules of the engagement
This is a really old TV show, but honestly it is one of my all time favourites, especially for commedy. This TV show is all about relationships and interactions between friends in humoristic way that I can always watch when I’m in a bad mood to get a little bit of a laugh and have a good time. My favourite character is Jeff for sure, I just think he is hillarious. I think I re-watched this TV show about three times, but I’m not tired of it. I really love watching it and I can’t wait to watch it again.
90 day fiance (+ all of the 90 day fiance spin offs)
This is my trash TV favourite. I’m not sure how many years I followed these shows, but I watched many seasons of each spin off. I always say that a 90 day fiance is my guilty pleasure, because it is so weird to admit to people that you love them. I remember admitting to my husband on our second date that I love watching trash TV, especially the 90 day fiance thinking he would find it weird and unattractive, but he just laughed and said to “me too”. I think that 90 day fiance is appealing to watch because it is just people interactions in relationships and obviously they always make a little bit of drama, which is interesting to watch and be a part of in some way. 90 day fiance is my guilty pleasure and I love it. I can watch it whenever and it is always a good idea for me for a chilled evening at home.
House MD
House MD is a TV show that mixes medicine with a relatable daily life of the characters that is just a great mix for interesting, addictive TV show to watch. House MD not only is interesting to watch, but it also gives information that is valuable to know and include in daily life. I love the character of Gregory House, because I could relate to him in so many ways. His way of using irony and sarcasm to cover his insecurities is very relatable, because I was like that for a long time. One sentence he said stuck with me forever, “I’m fine, just not happy”. That made a lot of sense to me, because through the majority of my life I felt like that. I’m not an unhappy person to my core, but a lot of the time I feel just fine, not happy in particular. House MD is a great TV show and I can’t recommend it enough.
Love is blind
This can also be considered as a trash TV technically. I think this is a Netflix original show and I really liked it. I loved watching it with my husband because we would comment on participants’ behaviour, decisions and choices. This is a great show if you like to watch how people behave and communicate, to me it is really interesting. Love is blind currently has 3 seasons and I watched all of them. Success rate of the show is pretty bad, most couples that got engaged broke up. I actually don’t really think love is blind, I think you have to be attracted to a person to fully love them. I think that attraction can grow, but there has to be initial attraction to begin with. So for me this show is just super interesting and I will gladly watch it. If you are looking for a new TV show to watch I would recommend this one, it is definitely interesting and entertaining.
You
This is also one of my favourite TV shows from Netflix. I love this series, they have 4 seasons and I loved all of them. “You” is definitely a creepy TV show, you’ll get in the mind of a stalker, obsessive person that has this completely crazy idea of love. When I first started watching it I was totally creeped out. This TV show is really well made, I’m not usually a fan of Netflix series, but with this one they really did amazing. Joe is an interesting character, he creeps me out completely, but I really like how they include his thoughts and inner conversations while you are watching the show. It really makes the whole experience just incredible. The cast is also really well chosen and the whole show is great. I can definitely recommend this one, I really enjoy it.
