SPA routine at home

post-title

Every now and then I have SPA day at home. I like to take care of myself, so having one day for myself completely makes a lot of sense to me. It is not usually a full day, but a good 4-5 hours, usually in the evening and I make sure I do some extra care for my skin, body, and hair. I usually like to use different sheet masks, one for face, one for feet and one for hands. In the photo I decided to use for this blog post you can see the latest sheet masks I used in my last SPA routine at home. I never used these sheet masks before, but the Skin Therapy Smoothing sheet mask was really nice, it nicely hydrated my skin and made it soft and smooth. Beautifully Scrumptious shea butter hand pack was actually quite nice, really moisturised my hands well and made them extremely soft and smooth. These two sheet masks I used when I finished my SPA routine at home and relaxed at my bed and watched TV shows.

I usually start my SPA routine with a long shower, where I wash my hair, body, exfoliate well and make sure that everything is nice and clean. I usually start with washing my hair, but before I wash my hair a few hours before I like to apply oils on my hair all over and let them penetrate my hair well. I wash my hair twice with shampoo and then apply purple shampoo all over to make sure to tone my highlights. I like to shave in the shower, but before I shave I exfoliate my body with salt or sugar body scrub. I usually prefer salt body scrubs, but currently I’m using sugar body scrub from Ziaja Cupuacu body line and it is really nice. After I finish shaving, I wash out purple shampoo from my hair and dry off. After shower I make sure to hydrate my body well with body butter or body lotion. I wash my face and apply a deep cleaning mud face mask. Currently I’m enjoying Eveline Cosmetics 8in1 cleanser and face mask, it really provides deep cleanness and makes my skin incredibly soft and smooth. After that I apply Freeman clay mask to further provide deep clean and make skin soft and smooth.

After I do all the face masks I apply my night time skin care routine. I do like to first massage my face with Jade roller and Gua Sha massager. I usually use Hada Labo Liquid hydrator to make a base for face massage. I also sometimes use a cooling face massage with my ice rollers. After a face massage I make sure to apply all the usual night time skin care routine products. After I do my skin care I apply some sort of leave in hair treatment and then use detangling hair spray and proceed to brush out my hair which always takes a long time because my hair is extremely tangly. Then I make sure to dry my hair and then add hydrating and smoothing serum to the ends of my hair. After that I get into a fresh pj and light some candles in my room and set up a nice atmosphere in the room for watching movies or series. I make tea or hot chocolate and proceed to enjoy my chill evening.

While I’m in the bed and chilling I usually apply a sheet mask on my skin to further provide hydration and care for my skin and also apply a foot mask if I have any in my stash. If I don’t have a foot mask then I apply a rich amount of foot cream. I also like to do my nails while I’m in bed, so I would hydrate my nails, push cuticles and use some sort of hand mask. If I don’t have a hand mask then I use cotton gloves and a rich amount of hand cream. And that is usually everything that I do in my SPA routine at home. That’s all from me for today. I hope you enjoyed my SPA routine at home. What does your SPA routine at home look like? What is an important part of your skin care routine? What is your favourite sheet mask?
