In June we took a quite long car road trip from Denmark to Bosnia. It was a long trip that needed two full days and one night that we spent in a hotel in Munchen. We are going to take the same trip back to Denmark some time in September, so it will be fun. I like road trips, they are tiring, but really fun and full of excitement. We always have a great time, talking, enjoying the view and we have coffee breaks often which definitely make a trip easier. While we were driving on a second day through Slovenia, my husband had great idea for us to take few hours off travel and spend them at Lake Bled in Slovenia which I definitely liked a lot, so we made our way off usual road to have a lunch, coffee and some nice relaxing time at Lake Bled.
Lake Bled is truly stunning, it is such a charming and lovely place to be at. I can see this being a great place to spend the weekend and enjoy the scenery. We were there on Sunday in June, so definitely the high season, so very busy and full of traffic. We barely found a parking spot at some hotel, four hours of parking will cost you about 20 Euros, definitely insane. Basically we couldn’t get parking for two hours, they only offered parking for four hours which we didn’t spend there. We were at lake Bled for about 2 hours, because we still had to make it home and we were far away from it. We had a really nice lunch at restaurant ‘The View’. Staff was really nice and the food was also really nice. I had chicken in sweet mango sauce which was different to anything I tried, but it was really nice. After lunch we felt refreshed and ready to explore a bit. We walked around, enjoying the view, Sun and nice, refreshing wind. We really had a great time, I would have liked that we could stay a bit longer, but unfortunately we had to get back to driving, because Bosnia was far away.
Before we went on the road we had coffee break, some really good, lovely coffee. We bought it at a place next to the walking area and honestly it was great coffee. Before we left we also checked a few stores. We wanted to buy some stuff, but unfortunately everything was quite expensive, so I didn’t feel like throwing money on overpriced stuff. It took us a while to make it to Bosnia and we came a few hours late, but we really had a great day there. I included some photos I took at Lake Bled, where you can see my lunch from restaurant ‘The View’ and my travel outfit, about which I’ll talk now.
My travel outfit is always simple, easy and comfortable. Because we do a lot of driving it is important to have something comfortable, easy and good for the weather. I needed something that was good for hot weather, but also cold nights. I decided that the best option for a travel outfit is my trusty Calvin Klein grey tracksuit that is definitely really comfortable and perfect for in-between weather. I had a Calvin Klein hoodie also, but you can’t see it in photos as it was in a car. I wore my really comfortable leather slippers, that look chic, but they are also easy to walk in. Simple white crop top is from Zara, basic collection. For the bag I chose one of my all time favourite bags and that is a DKNY white bag that can fit a lot of stuff and is a perfect travel companion. For the jewellery I wore my usual daily gold pieces, my gold earrings, necklace with A pendant, engagement ring and wedding band. For the watch I wore my Christian Lacroix gold watch.
