This is the first time that I tried more expensive mascara. I tried some Artdeco and Pupa mascaras, but they are not as pricey as Lancome is, but are more expensive than drugstore mascaras. I’m usually a fan of drugstore mascaras, usually Catrice Cosmetics is my favourite brand to buy mascaras from, but I decided to try more expensive mascara just to see, is it really that different? Are expensive mascaras better than drugstore mascaras? I decided to buy Lancome Monsieur Big mascara, as this was a really popular mascara in the beauty world and I heard so many positive reviews for Lancome Monsieur Big mascara. I’m not sure what I expected from this mascara, did I expect it to be better than drugstore mascaras, yes, because it is much more expensive. Today I’ll share with you a full review and my opinion on Lancome Monsieur Big mascara!
Packaging of Lancome Monsieur Big mascara is nice, it looks pretty and I love the little rose on top of mascara. You get 10 ml of product which can last for 3 months for sure if you apply mascara daily. I don’t wear makeup daily, usually only a few times a week. Lancome Monsieur Big mascara is supposed to be all day wear and give a big volume. I remember when this mascara was all the craze in the beauty world, women usually love how voluminous this mascara makes the lashes to be and apparently it gives thick lashes. I like volumizing mascaras, so I did expect to love this mascara. Mascara wand is a typical bristle wand, it looks like most traditional mascara wands. I prefer these types of wands to rubber ones, so again I expected to love this mascara. This mascara is about 26 Euros (30 USD).
Lancome Monsieur Big mascara is my first high end mascara. I did try some more expensive mascaras than drugstore brands that I’m used to like Catrice and Essence. L’OReal in Bosnia is more expensive, I tried some of their mascaras and I also tried Pupa mascaras that are more expensive. But I never bought mascara that was in this price range, it is quite expensive, so I expected this mascara to be amazing. Lancome Monsieur Big mascara has a bristle wand, the type of wand that is my favourite and the easiest to work with in my opinion. I like the wand of this mascara, it holds enough product and it makes a really nice impact on lashes. I usually hate applying mascara, because I usually smudge it on the lids, but with this mascara that rarely happens. I think it is mostly due to the brush that is perfect size and thickness. Lancome mascara has deep black colour and it is easy to apply on the lashes. It lasts the whole day on my lashes and it doesn’t smudge at all.
I will say that Monsieur Big mascara holds curl really well, it literally looks the same all day long. Lancome Monsieur Big mascara is definitely voluminizing mascara, it gives a lot of volume to the lashes and looks really pretty. I also notice that this mascara nicely elongates my lashes and makes a really nice impact to the way lashes look. I will say that this mascara is really great, I really like it. Is the price of this mascara worth it? Lancome Monsieur Big mascara is expensive, I don’t think I would pay full price for this mascara again, I would buy it if I find it on a nice offer, because mascara is great. I literally have nothing negative to say about this mascara, other than the price. Lancome is an expensive brand, so I guess it is expected for this mascara to be expensive. If it is in your budget, then definitely try it, it is great quality mascara.

Lancome Monsieur Big mascara is great, I love using it and I think it looks so pretty on the lashes. I would buy it again if I find it on a nice discount, but I would not pay full price for this mascara again.
