Delia Cosmetics Retinol and Vitamin C serum review

post-title

I have been searching for a good retinol serum, but I didn’t have much luck in local drugstores. One day I was randomly searching my local drugstore skin care section and came across Delia serums, they had few of them, but I was mostly interested in retinol, and vitamin C. Delia Cosmetics really improved their offer recently, they have some really interesting products and honestly I’m really excited to try more of their products. I think that vitamin C is perfect for morning skin care, while retinol is perfect for nighttime skin care routine. That is how I use these Delia Cosmetics serums, vitamin C serum I use as a part of my morning skin care routine, while Delia Cosmetics retinol serum I use in night time skin care routine. Today I’ll share with you my full review on Delia Cosmetics Retinol and Vitamin C serum.

Packaging is the same, just the colours are different. Retinol serum comes in a pink box, while Vitamin C serum comes in a yellow box. Serum bottles are dark glass and you can tell them apart from the colour of stickers. I personally like the packaging, it is pretty, easy to use and really nice. Deloia Cosmetics Retinol serum is recommended for mature skin and it is formulated with vitamin E and sea buckthorn oil. Obviously retinol serum is supposed to be anti wrinkle, while vitamin C is supposed to be brightening. Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C serum is recommended for skin with dark spots and it is formulated with peptide and panthenol. Both Delia Cosmetics serums come with 30 ml of product. You are supposed to use these serums on the face, neck and neckline. Both of these Delia Cosmetics serums are vegan. Retinol serum is made from 81% ingredients from nature, while Vitamin C serum has 87% ingredients from nature. I think I paid 6 Euros per one serum, which is pretty good price.

Delia Cosmetics potent skincare lineup featuring Retinol and Vitamin C serums, elegantly packaged in distinct colors for easy identification. The Retinol serum is housed in a chic pink container, while the Vitamin C serum gleams in a vibrant yellow package

I will first talk about Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C serum. First of all pipette in this serum doesn’t work the best, it can take only a small amount of product, but it usually contains enough product for one application. Serum is white and creamy, it has an interesting scent and it is easy to apply. When you apply Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C serum skin feels hydrated, soft and smooth. Serum gives a nice glow to the skin and it makes it look plump and juicy. Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C serum is a simple serum, it works well and it nicely nourishes the skin. It definitely makes skin look healthy and glowy. I didn’t notice that my skin looks brighter, but then again I don’t have many dark spots, but I do have some blemish scarring. I didn’t notice that Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C serum helps with blemish scarring, it doesn’t make it heal faster or fade away quicker. For that reason I probably wouldn’t repurchase Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C serum. I had some other Vitamin C serums that definitely help fade away blemishes faster, so I would rather repurchase those than Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C serum.

Delia Cosmetics Retinol serum is definitely interesting. It has oily consistency and it is different to any retinol serum I tried before. I tried retinol serums that had that traditional serum consistency and I also tried creamy retinol serums. I guess Delia Cosmetics Retinol serum is oily because of sea buckthorn oil. This retinol serum has a light scent, light yellow colour and it is oily. It honestly feels like you are applying oil onto your skin and even though I don’t mind the feeling of oil on my skin, I don’t like that this serum feels like that. Honestly I would prefer that Delia Cosmetics Retinol serum is normal serum consistency, so because of that I probably won’t repurchase this one again. I feel like this serum works better for winter time, for summer it would be too heavy on the skin and I would hate to use this serum in summer time. I don’t feel like my skin is particularly moisturised with this serum, but it does feel soft and smooth. I don’t have wrinkles yet, so I use retinol preventively. So I can’t really tell you if this serum works on wrinkles. I will use Delia Cosmetics Retinol serum fully, but I don’t think I will repurchase it.

That’s all from me for today. I hope you enjoyed this review. Let me know did you try Delia Cosmetics Vitamin C and Retinol serum? What is your favourite Vitamin C serum? What is your favoutire Retinol serum? Do you use Vitamin C and Retinol is your skincare routine? What is your favourite skin care brand? Thank you for reading. Have a nice day! xx
