CeraVe Hydrating cleanser for normal to dry skin review

post-title

I heard many great reviews about this product and saw it everywhere on social media sites. I never tried anything from the CeraVe brand, but I decided to get CeraVe Hydrating cleanser as I usually buy gel cleansers, so I wanted to compare them. I still love normal gelly cleansers as I feel like they provide good, deep clean that is very important for me. CeraVe Hydrating cleanser is different to usual gelly cleansers, but I felt like it could be good as the first cleanser to help remove makeup and also it would be nice as a gentle morning cleanser. Also sometimes during winter my skin gets dried out randomly, so it is important for me to have something that won’t dry out my skin more. Today I will share with you my opinion and full review on CeraVe Hydrating cleanser.

I actually got one more CeraVe Hydrating cleanser, a bigger tub of 473 ml. I didn’t know they made bigger packaging, as I only saw small packaging that I got initially, as you can see on the photo. So now I have two CeraVe Hydrating cleansers, one is 473 ml and the other is 236 ml od product. So now I’m good with this cleanser for a long time, it will last me long as I have a lot of product. I decided to try Hydrating cleanser on my face and body. I once had an eczema rash all over my body and I feel like this product could be great as shower gel also. I mostly got this product to use as a facial cleanser, but I tested it out as a body wash also. This cleanser is recommended for normal to dry skin. It is fragrance free and it is formulated with 3 essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid. CeraVe cleanser is supposed to cleanse and hydrate without disturbing the protective skin barrier of the face and body. CeraVe Hydrating cleanser of 236 ml is 90 DKK which is around 12 Euros, while CeraVe Hydrating cleanser that contains 473 ml is 120 DKK which is 16 Euros. Obviously it is much better to buy bigger as it is much more affordable, but I made a mistake with my first purchase.

The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, ideal for normal to dry skin, cleanses without stripping the skin's natural moisture. Perfect for daily use with essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid

Even though on packaging it says to not use this product close to the eyes, I use it close to eyes as I usually use this product as the first step in cleansing routine while wearing makeup. I do remove the first layer of makeup with makeup removing wipe or milk first and then cleanse my skin with CeraVe Hydrating cleanser. I tried using just CeraVe cleanser, but then I needed to wash my face twice with it, as it is not strong enough to break makeup with one cleanse. I usually have a three step makeup removing process, first layer of makeup I use makeup removing wipe, then CeraVe Hydrating cleanser. As the last step I wash my face with some gel cleanser. I need to make sure my skin is really clean before applying my skin care as my skin reacts to wearing makeup long really badly. CeraVe Hydrating cleanser is a milky cleanser, it doesn’t foam up and it almost feels like massaging cleansing milk. It has white colour, soft texture and I usually use one pump of product per cleansing.

This is a perfect daily cleanser, especially for mornings as I like to use gentle morning cleansers to avoid drying out my skin. I use it in the morning to clean my skin nicely and it is lovely as it doesn’t dry out the skin and it is a gentle cleansing product. If you have sensitive skin I feel like this can be a great cleansing product. In the night time skin care routine I use gel, deep cleansing product to make sure my skin is well cleansed before applying the rest of the skin care. I feel like CeraVe Hydrating cleanser will be great in the winter when my skin gets drier and I feel like then I will use this cleanser every day, maybe even in night time skin care routine. CeraVe Hydrating cleanser is a really good product, it is a non drying, gentle cleanser that will be perfect for colder weather. Also this can be a great product for dry and sensitive skin and I would recommend it. I will definitely continue to use CeraVe Hydrating cleanser to remove makeup and as a morning cleanser, it is a great gentle product.

Nicely reviewed. I’d not used CeraVe until last year when I tried a little moisturiser tube. Then this year I bought a cleanser (same bottle as this, just not the Hydrating version) and I really like it for how gentle it is while still leaving skin feeling super clean. I’ll have to consider trying this one when my current CeraVe runs out 🙂
