I always loved Essence and Catrice limited edition collections, I have been buying them for years now and I have many different products from their limited edition collections. I just love how cute packaging is most of the time and I love the ideas that they bring to make usual makeup products more interesting. The only negative side is that Essence and Catrice limited edition collections take a long time to get to Bosnian stores, so I’m usually very late to talk about their limited edition products because by the time I get them everyone has stopped talking about the products. But this time i really wanted to talk about Essence Chilly Vanilly and Catrice Heart Affair limited edition collection as these products are so pretty and super cute. Today I will share with you my opinion on Catrice Heart Affair and Essence Chilly Vanilly limited edition collections.
Essence Cosmetics and Catrice Cosmetics are some of my all time favourite makeup brands to buy from and I get excited for their limited edition collections. They come out with one limited edition collection a month I think, but most of those collections don’t get in Bosnia. If you live in Germany, then you are really lucky as they sell all of their limited edition collections in Germany. I still think about the Catrice Cosmetics Pearl Glaze limited edition collection that I fell in love with, but could never get my hands on it as it was never available here. Some of my favourite makeup products are products from Catrice Cosmetics Kaviar Gauche limited edition collections, those are always special and beautiful. If I see limited edition collections by Catrice and Essence I usually buy one product from every collection, just because I can’t resist. Today I will share with you my opinion and quick reviews on Essence Chilly Vanilly face and body highlighter stick and lip mask with shea butter. I will also include my opinion on Catrice Cosmetics Heart Affair highlighter.
Essence Cosmetics Chilly Vanilly collection
From Essence Chilly Vanilly limited edition collection I bought Chilly Vanilly lip mask and Chilly Vanilly face and body stick highlighter. Essence Chilly Vanilly limited edition collection was so popular on Tik Tok and other social media platforms that everyone wanted to get some products. In this collection I wanted every single product, but decided to just get two that I liked the most. In Essence Chilly Vanilly collection you can get: makeup sponge, lip glaze/gloss, under eye brightener, highlighter, lip mask, cream shimmer eye shadows and ph reacting lip balm. I’m glad that I picked up Essence Chilly Vanilly lip mask as it is so nice and creamy, makes my lips hydrated and smooth and it is the perfect product to use before makeup as it will hydrate and make lips soft and smooth. It has a light vanilla scent and it is transparent on the lips, but it provides a lovely glow and hydration.
I would definitely recommend Essence Chilly Vanilly lip mask, it is a great product and definitely something worth trying. Essence Chilly Vanilly face and body highlighter stick has lovely formula, but the colour is not my favourite. It has a very strong purple colour on my skin and it also has visible shimmer and glitter particles, which I’m not a fan of. I like my highlighters to be smooth and just glowy, without much shimmer showing on the skin. Even though Essence Chilly Vanilly face and body stick highlighter has an interesting purple colour that is not every day for me, I still like this product and I would probably use it a lot during summer nights, because for night time makeup this one would be super pretty. Formula is extremely smooth and highlighter is easy to apply and blend on skin. I personally enjoy Essence Chilly Vanilly face and body highlighter and I will definitely use it a lot during summer time.
Catrice Heart Affair Highlighter
I could not resist Catrice Cosmetics Heart Affair highlighter, it is just so cute and adorable. This is Catrice Valentines day collection and we got it in Bosnia long after Valentines day, but at least it was available. In Catrice Heart Affair limited edition collection you can get: highlighter, 3 shades of liquid and 3 shades of creamy bullet lipsticks, 2 shades of cushion cream blushes and 3 shades of nail polishes. I really wanted to get Catrice Heart Affair cream blush also, but the packaging was quite bulky and I just didn’t like how big it was. The sponge applicator took too much space and honestly I like compact makeup. I got a Catrice Heart Affair highlighter mainly because of the packaging, but the shade is a nice golden champagne shade which I do use on a day to day basis.
Catrice Heart Affair highlighter has a nice formula and I’m glad I picked it up. It is definitely pigmented and you don’t need a lot of product for application. It picks up well with brush and it is very easy to blend out. Shade is a beautiful champagne gold shade that goes well with any blush colour and I will definitely use this highlighter a lot. Catrice Cosmetics Heart Affair highlighter is stunning and I definitely recommend it. If you get a chance to buy this highlighter definitely do, it is so pretty.
