I’m a big fan of lip products and I make sure my lips stay hydrated and well taken care of. I always had dry lips, literally no matter what kind of diet I have, how much water I drink, how many times I moisturise them throughout the day, my lips feel dry. I don’t have particularly dry skin, but my lips are always dry. I always have lip balm, lip oil and lip gloss in my everyday bag, because if I’m on the go, I need a few different options for my dry lips. I saw an Essence Jelly Sleeping mask in one of my recent trips to the local drugstore and I really liked the look of it. I didn’t have high expectations for this product, but I thought it would be interesting to try. Today I’ll share with you my opinion and full review on the Essence Jelly Sleeping mask.
Packaging is really cute as it is often the case with Essence products. Essence Jelly Sleeping mask has a nice, cute packaging and the product has a really light, sweet scent. Lip balm has a light purple colour and it is nicely creamy. Essence Jelly Sleeping mask is vegan and you get 8 g of product. Essence Jelly Sleeping mask is supposed to nourish the lips with vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. Honestly I did expect a totally different texture of the product, I expected Essence Jelly Sleeping mask to be jelly, lightweight and almost moussy. Texture is really thick, you don’t need a lot of product when you apply the product and you can’t apply a lot as it collects inside of your lips and looks really bad. Also the best way to apply this product is to apply a really small amount, as more than that looks very weird and also it gets sticky and uncomfortable to wear. I think Essence Jelly Sleeping mask is about 3 Euros which is ok price, but for this price or a little more I can get natural calendula balm that actually looks really nice on the lips and deeply nourishes.
Essence Jelly Sleeping mask has a light, but very sweet scent. To be honest I’m not the biggest fan of the scent, but it is not the worst, so I got adjusted to it pretty quickly. Essence Jelly Sleeping mask is light purple in colour, balmy, not overly thick, it nicely melts on skin heat and it is easy to apply on the lips with your finger. This lip mask is easy to apply with fingers and blend into the lips while it leaves a nice, beautiful glow on the lips. Essence Jelly Sleeping mask looks beautiful on the lips, it leaves a nice, healthy glow on the lips and makes the lips look hydrated and nourished. Essence Jelly Sleeping mask is easy to use and apply and you don’t need a lot of product, because as it is a balmy texture it can collect inside of the lips. As this is a balmy product, a small amount is more than enough for lips as you can feel the product on the lips.
Essence Jelly Sleeping mask is a nice product, but honestly I’m not sure I would repurchase this one. I feel like it keeps the lips hydrated while it is on the lips, but when I remove it from the lips I feel like my lips are really dry. I have really dry lips, so for me lip products need to be really hydrating, that is why I try a lot of lip balms. If you have normal, not overly dry lips, I feel like an Essence Jelly Sleeping mask would be really nice and caring. Essence Jelly Sleeping mask is a nice product, but not enough hydrating for my really dry lips. I will still use up the Essence Jelly Sleeping mask, but probably wouldn’t repurchase it as it is not enough hydrating for my extremely dry lips. I think I will try something else from Essence for lip care, as I know they have some great hydrating lip products. If you are looking for the new lip balm to try, this one might be a nice one to try as it is affordable, but really nice. If you have really dry lips, then maybe get something else from Essence, this one might not be enough for really dry lips.
