Every now and then I like to use sheet masks. If I’m being honest sheet masks are not my favourite, I love cream masks, because they are easier to use and just feel better on my skin. I like to do stuff while having a face mask on, so sheet masks are not the best for that as they slide off and you should not move too much while having them on. But every now and then I like to use sheet masks while watching TV shows or just relaxing. I already tried the Nivea Urban Detox sleeping mask and I loved it. That is one of my favourite products by Nivea. I used up three of them already, so I definitely had high hopes for Nivea Urban Skin Detox sheet mask. Today I’ll share with you my review on Nivea Urban Skin Detox 10 minutes sheet mask.
Packaging is pretty nice and standard for sheet masks. It is easy to use and it gives a lot of information about the product. Nivea Urban Skin Detox sheet mask is supposed to be 10 minutes use and it is supposed to give three instant effects. Nivea Urban Skin Detox is supposed to intensively detoxifies, mattifies skin and refreshes the skin. This Nivea sheet mask is formulated with green tea and charcoal. Obviously in packaging you get one sheet mask, so this is a single use product which is usual for sheet masks.
I was excited to try this Nivea Urban Skin Detox 10 minutes sheet mask. It was easy to apply to the skin. It has a thin white protective layer, which I’m not sure why it comes like that to be honest. Sheet mask is black and it feels nice and soft on the skin. It is actually quite thin, so it nicely sticks to the skin. Nivea Urban Skin Detox sheet mask has quite a strong scent. It is not pleasant to me, but I got used to it quickly. As the sheet mask is black it does look a bit crazy on the skin, so it is better to wear it alone in the room haha. Nivea Urban Skin Detox sheet mask is pretty comfortable to wear, it feels nice on the skin. It is not overly filled with serum to be honest, it was on the drier side. I tried many face sheet masks so far and most of them were more wet. I personally don’t mind a bit of a dryer sheet mask as it won’t slide off the face. The reason they wrote that this is a 10 minute sheet mask is probably because it is not super wet, so it dries in 10 minutes on the skin. I wore it for about 20 minutes and when I took it off it was pretty dry. Nivea Urban Skin Detox sheet mask was comfortable and quick to use. When I took it off I noticed that my skin looked refreshed and quite nice. It did leave a nice healthy glow on the skin.
After I took the mask I didn’t apply any face cream and in about 5 minutes after taking it off I felt like my skin was a bit tight and lacking moisture. Nivea Urban Skin Detox face mask is definitely not moisturising. I felt like my skin was pulling and it had that uncomfortable feeling so I had to apply face cream pretty quickly. As this mask didn’t promise moisture, I can’t blame it for that. Nivea Urban Skin Detox sheet mask definitely refreshes the skin. In my experience it doesn’t completely matiffy the skin as my skin had a nice glow. But as my skin felt tight and it was lacking moisture, then it does mattify in a sense that it removes excess sebum. I would say that this is a good detox mask for when you have a lot of blemishes or just impure skin. I liked Nivea Urban Skin Detox sheet mask, I enjoyed using it and I quite like the results it gave.
