Day in Hamburg and dinner in famous Fischereihafen restaurant

We were excited to visit Hamburg, as I had never been to this city. I was excited to just walk around and feel the atmosphere. Weather was really nice, which I’m grateful for as while we were driving we had a lot of rain and I just needed a bit of sun. When we came to Hamburg it looked like it would rain, but thankfully Sun came out and the weather was really nice. We didn’t do much sightseeing actually, we just walked around mostly, drinking coffee and enjoying the atmosphere. As it was Sunday, the city was really busy, there were so many people walking around, enjoying the sun and just relaxing. It was so busy that honestly at some places we were I felt a bit overwhelmed, even though I don’t get that feeling a lot. Hamburg is a big city and honestly it is full of people, so I’m sure you get used to it when you live there. For me it was a little bit too much, but I enjoyed walking around and seeing nice places.

We did get a chance to pop to Tk Maxx which is one of my favourite stores. When I was living in Germany I used to go to that store weekly. This time my husband surprised me by taking me to Tk Maxx even though it was really hard for him to organise it as we were driving and wanted to see as much as we could. But he managed to get us to the hotel about three hours before Tk Maxx closed. So I did manage to spend about two hours in the store and find some things that I liked. I did some shopping in Tk Maxx ofcourse, I got myself black DKNY bag, DKNY belt and Wet brush. I couldn’t decide between two DKNY bags, I just didn’t know which one to take and my husband got me another DKNY bag. So now I own four DKNY bags and I need to sell one or two, because four is definitely too much. For a day in Hamburg we stayed in Novotel hotel and to be honest I really liked it. Hotel was really nice, our room was spacious, very clean and the breakfast we had was really good with many different food options.

I included some photos in this blog post from our time in Hamburg, unfortunately I didn’t take any photos in the Novotel hotel as we rushed out of the room to go to the Tk Maxx store. When we came back to the room we just crashed into bed as we spent the whole day driving and we were ready to relax and rest. Our dinner in the Fischereihafen restaurant was truly amazing. To this day this is probably one of my favourite restaurant experiences, it was so nice, staff was so nice and the food was incredible. I have to be honest I’m not the biggest fish fan, but my husband loves fish. I’m trying to include fish in my diet more as it is healthy. Meal that we had in the Fischereihafen restaurant was incredible. We had salmon with wasabi mashed potatoes and sweet spicy sauce. This is one of my favourite meals that I ever had and honestly I would love to go to this restaurant again. If you go to Hamburg, I would 100% recommend the Fischereihafen restaurant, it is so worth the visit. It is a bit expensive, but honestly it is so worth it. The food is stunning, the staff is very professional and the atmosphere is lovely.

That pretty much sums up my Hamburg experience. I had a great time, really enjoyed myself and had a lovely experience. I would love to visit Hamburg again and the Fischereihafen restaurant, it was a great experience and really such a great memory. That’s all from me for today.
