I think I used to use Balea skin care products a lot more than lately. I think Balea is a great brand, they do make some great products, but I mainly use them for body care and hair care. I heard very positive things about Balea Niacinamide serum, so I decided to try it for myself. My favourite Balea skin care product is face cream with vitamin C and their gel moisturiser that I love in summer time. Today I’ll share a full review on the Balea Niacinamide serum!
Packaging is simple, but pretty. Bottle is very pretty and it is glass. Pipette works pretty good, which I appreciate, as I had many issues with Balea pipettes before. This is face serum with 10% niacinamide and 1% zinc. Niacinamide is supposed to even out skin texture and make it even. It is also supposed to make your skin soft and smooth. This serum with use is supposed to even out skin, get rid of breakouts and make them appear less frequently. Balea Niacinamide serum is recommended for all skin types. It is fragrance free and even if you have sensitive skin you can use it. You get 30 ml of product. Balea Niacinamide serum is vegan. Balea recommends using this one in morning and night time skin care routine. After applying Balea Niacinamide serum you are supposed to apply face cream and if you use it in the morning definitely use SPF also.
I think I tried 2-3 Balea serums before. I don’t know what I expected from this serum, but I’m not really impressed with it. The texture of Balea Niacinamide serum is really nice. It is transparent, gelly in texture and it is easy to apply and blend into skin. Balea Niacinamide serum is not heavy on skin and it doesn’t leave a sticky feeling on skin. You literally don’t have any residue left over after you apply this one and I really like that. I love the texture of this serum, I honestly enjoy smooth serums like this one. I mainly expected this one to help with my oily T zone and to balance production of oil. That didn’t really happen, I didn’t notice any change in the production of sebum. Also I thought that Balea Niacinamide serum will make my skin more even and help with breakouts. While I was using this one I got many breakouts, which I definitely didn’t expect. I think that retinol helped me much better with breakouts than niacinamide did. I had pretty smooth skin even before using this one, so I can’t really say much on that front. My pores were also pretty good and not overly noticeable, so I didn’t notice any improvement with that. Mainly I hoped that Balea Niacinamide serum will get rid of blemishes that I randomly get. Unfortunately that didn’t happen for me, even though I used two bottles of this one. I think I won’t repurchase this one. I like the texture, but honestly I don’t see much difference in my skin to buy this one again. I think I’m going to try some other Balea serum, because this one didn’t really make any difference in the look of my skin.
I’m sure this serum works for some people, but for me it didn’t really work. Balea makes some great skin care products, so I’m definitely going to try more from the Balea skin care line. That’s all from me today. I hope you enjoyed this review. Let me know if you have tried Balea Niacinamide serum? Did you use Balea products maybe? If yes, what is your favourite Balea product?
