Last weekend it was sunny in Aarhus and we needed to use it to the maximum as the weather in Aarhus is mostly rainy and not really enjoyable. We are supposed to be in spring, but it is still really cold and the wind is so strong. Literally I’m still trying to get used to Denmark's weather and that every day is windy. I’m definitely not used to this type of spring weather, but I’m hoping it warms up soon and that we can spend more time outside and actually wear some nice outfits. I love dressing for spring, but here I need many layers, because I’m freezing all the time and wind is making it impossible for me to dress nicely, as I can only function in a winter coat haha. But in this blog post I’ll share with you what we did last weekend, where we went to and my outfit details. I love weekend in Aarhus, everyone is out and enjoying free time. I will say that people really enjoy weekend in Aarhus, as city is always busy during weekend and people love to enjoy coffee time, walks and nature.
This weekend in Aarhus was great. On Saturday we decided to go for a coffee and one of our favourite places to drink coffee is Bådcafe, where we have been many times, but love to go often. If you love the sea, boats and coffee this is definitely a must visit if you are in Aarhus, it is a lovely place, really chill and they have really nice coffee. Bådcafe is great for weekend brunch also, they have really nice food and we love to go there for a quick bite. This time we went there for a cappuccino after a long walk next to the sea. I didn’t wear the best outfit, it was really windy and because of that it was really cold. I always confuse sunny weather and think it is warmer than it actually is. If the weather app says it is for example 10 degrees, because in Aarhus it is always windy, you have a feeling it is 5 degrees. I needed my coat on this walk, but I managed. The Infinite bridge is still not up, so we had a walk along the beach and sea and really enjoyed some much needed sun rays.
A lot of people were out on this lovely Saturday. It was sunny, so there were a lot of cyclists, runners and some people just enjoying a lovely walk, time on the beach, or walks with a dog. On our way to Bådcafe we actually saw one woman taking a dip in the sea. She was in the water for about 20 seconds, but props to her for actually trying as I was freezing outside, I can only imagine how freezing the sea was. Let’s chat a little bit about my outfit. I wore my new beige suit jacket that I got in the Only store just a few days before. I love this jacket, it is so elegant, fits nicely and has really nice material. I also love the colour and the length of this suit jacket, it is lovely, definitely check it out. Style number is 15232428 (Oversize blazer Cc Tlr Burro). My black skinny jeans are from Bershka and my virgin wool turtleneck jumper is Hugo Boss. Shoes are UGG and the bag is Furla Mini Metropolis Bolero crossbody bag in beige colour and gunmetal chain. I had a small printed silky scarf on the bag as an accessory. The jewellery was simple, and I wore my everyday DKNY watch. I wore my usual wedding band and engagement ring, gold necklace with A pendant, a Georg Jensen gold bracelet and new earrings that I got from Pandora.
On Sunday we slept in till 1 pm, because we stayed long on Saturday night, because we watched some movies and documentaries. When we woke up the weather was really nice, really sunny and lovely. As my husband was really tired I decided to get dressed and go for a walk, but he decided to join me as he wanted to get out of the apartment as well. We went to a nice little place, close to where we live and had a coffee and walked next to the lake. There were a lot of people, I think everyone wanted to enjoy the nice weather and just enjoy the outside. We had cappuccinos that were really nice and creamy and then took a long walk. It was cold and windy, but nicely sunny. This time I was smarter and brought a thin coat, so I wasn’t cold, but I should have brought a scarf as well.
My outfit for this walk was all over the place. I had a nice outfit on, but I didn’t plan to wear a coat, but the wind made me put the coat on as I would be really cold in just the thin suit jacket I had on. I wore a thin Peppercorn Tua beige wool coat, black Bershka skinny jeans, Hallhuber cashmere light blue jumper and Zara black oversized blazer. I wore my typical golden jewellery that I always wear and a gold DKNY watch. Trainers are Nike Air Max Thea Premium and the bag is a Michael Kors Bedford Legacy crossbody bag.
