In my favourite local beauty store they have a lot of Yes Studio products. I have never used this brand before, or ever heard of them, but this brand has the cutest packaging and products look so cute and I just wanted to try some products from this brand. I did get 2 body butters as well, but I will talk about them in a separate blog post. I did get Yes Studio Call me Coconuts body butter as well, because I love coconut scent. I was quite disappointed with the scent of these products, they don’t really smell like coconut, but I will tell you more about that later. I have fallen in love with Rituals foaming shower foams, but those are really expensive, so I was trying to find something similar to that. Yes Studio Call me Coconuts whipped shower foam has the cutest packaging. It looks incredibly cute and I love the colour and overall look of packaging. It looks like whipped cream packaging, also the applicator is the same. In packaging you get 265 ml of product and I think I paid 28 DKK for this one which is around 3.6 Euros. So this one is quite a good price. Rituals foaming shower gel is 89 DKK which is around 12 Euros. Yes Studio Call me Coconuts whipped shower foam is formulated with coconut and magnesium. You are supposed to shake the product well before use and turn it upside down when squeezing the product. Obviously you are supposed to apply whipped foam on a wet body and massage it well to clean skin and then rinse it out. Foam is white in colour and the scent is really light. Like it is hard to smell anything when you use this product in the shower. It smells like a little bit of coconut, but it has a really lightweight scent. I wish the scent was stronger, because I like strong scents in shower products.
Yes Studio Call me Coconuts whipped shower foam didn’t come close to Rituals foaming shower gel. Unfortunately it is not even a little bit close to my beloved Rituals foaming shower gels. I guess I will have to spend a lot of money for Rituals shower foams as I haven’t managed to find a good enough dupe yet. Yes Studio Call me Coco-nuts whipped shower foam comes out as white thick foam from the packaging, but when you start to blend it into the skin foam quickly disappears. With Rituals foam is so rich that a little bit goes a long way and you can use a little bit of product for the whole body. With this one, foam is not rich enough so I constantly need to use more and more so I can have a good shower. I also have a feeling that this shower foam doesn’t wash my body well. Every time I use it to shower, I use a lot of product and even after two showers I get a feeling that my skin isn’t super clean. It might be me, but I don’t feel like my skin is really clean after using Yes Studio whipped shower foam.
Also the scent of this product was disappointing. I expected a rich sweet coconut scent, but I got something that is really mild, doesn’t smell that great and the scent literally disappears in seconds. While showering with this foam I don’t feel the scent that much and on the skin scent doesn’t hold up even for 2 minutes. Yes Studio Call me Coco-nuts whipped shower foam is not a product for me and I won’t repurchase it again. It was quite disappointing and I will gladly spend more money for Rituals shower foam that lasts a long time and that makes showers every time a magical experience. This shower foam doesn’t come even close to Rituals and it was quite disappointing.
