Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter review

post-title

I was so excited to try this Essence product. Lately I have been really into testing and using cream or liquid products in my makeup routine, so when I saw the new Essence spring/summer 2024 collection I knew I wanted to test and review Essence Baby Got Glow and Baby Got Blush liquid products. Unfortunately I didn’t pick up the blush as all of them in the store were opened and used and I just didn’t want to buy something that was already opened. Also I bought a few cream and liquid blushes lately, so I didn’t really need a new liquid blush. I might pick up Essence Baby Got Blush liquid blush also, if you want me to test it out, i’m totally ok with that. Today I’ll share with you my full review and opinion on the new Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter.

This is very popular packaging for liquid makeup products lately, so I definitely understand why Essence decided on this packaging. Packaging is cute, sponge is really hard and not the most comfortable, but packaging is easy to use and work with. I feel like they could make the sponge softer, but as this is really cheap it is fine. In the middle of the sponge there is simply a hole and that is where the product comes out of. You get 10 ml of product or 0.33 fl. oz. which is a good amount. I got Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter in the shade 10 – Sassy in Silk. This shade is a light champagne shade. They have two more shades available I believe, one is rosy tone and other is bronze. Essence wrote that this is a light formula that is easily blendable and buildable. This liquid highlighter is supposed to give a natural shiny finish. Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter is affordable, I paid 28 DKK which is about 4 USD, or around 3.5 Euros.

Experience the luminous glow with Essence's Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter

Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter really interested me and I had high hopes for this product. Since I tried it, I’m not sure I will buy Essence Baby Got Blush liquid blush, because I don’t love Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter. Of course I can make it work and sometimes it looks super pretty on the skin, but it is not an easy and fuss free product. Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter has a scent, it has a vanilla scent to me. Product is really thick, I expected it to be liquid, easy to blend and super lightweight. Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter is thick, very pigmented and blending is not the easiest. As this product is really thick, it is hard to apply even amount on cheek bones, so more often than not highlight doesn’t look even and nicely pigmented all over cheek bones.

Liquid highlighter also sets/dries very quickly, so you don’t have a lot of time to blend. Because this liquid highlighter dries down quickly, blending is hard and hard to make this product work. As this product is also thick, that doesn’t help with blending also, so you can make Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter work, but it takes a lot of work and you have to be really fast. Even the claim that this is liquid highlighter is a bit weird to me, this is so thick I would say it is creamy texture. Glow that this product gives is really pretty, it is intense and gives a really nice glow. But because application is not the easiest, it is hard to achieve even glow on the cheeks. Highlighter lasts the whole day, doesn’t lose its glow and it is long lasting. Glow that this highlighter gives is a typical champagne-golden shade, very pretty and wearable.

I wanted to love this product so badly, I really hoped it would become my most used highlighter, but unfortunately it doesn’t work that well for me. If you want to try it, it’s affordable, you might like it. That’s all from me for today. I hope you enjoyed this review. Let me know, did you maybe try Essence Baby Got Glow liquid highlighter? What is your favourite highlighter? Do you use cream and liquid makeup products? Do you use Essence makeup? What is your favourite Essence makeup product? Thank you for reading. Have a nice day! xx
