I got these products in one giveaway a long time ago and even though I wanted to test them out as soon as possible, I got side tracked testing and using some other products. Sometimes it is hard to test many products all at once, so I like to use one product that I’m testing until I test it out fully, which is usually after a use up of a product. That takes time, so testing the whole collection of products also takes a lot of time. I heard really good reviews on the Garnier Vitamin C collection, so I was excited to use these products in my skincare routine. I already reviewed Garnier Vitamin C sheet mask, I will link that review under this blog post in case you want to check it out. Today I will share with you my opinion and full review on Garnier Vitamin C clarifying wash, brightening serum and glow jelly.
I will first write a few words on the packaging of this collection. The Garnier Vitamin C collection has nice packaging, it is simple, easy to use and store. Clarifying wash comes in a plastic bottle with a pump and it has 200 ml of product. Brightening serum comes in a box and bottle is glass and it has a really nice pump. Serum comes with 30 ml of product. Garnier Vitamin C glow jelly comes in a box and glass jar. It contains 50 ml of product. Garnier Vitamin C skin care collection is recommended for dull skin. Products are obviously dermatologically tested. Clarifying wash is supposed to purify, brighten and boost the glow of the skin. Brightening serum contains 3.5% vitamin C, niacinamide and salicylic acid. Garnier Vitamin C brightening serum is supposed to have anti dark spot efficacy from 6 days of use. Glow jelly is formulated with vitamin C and citrus extract. Glow jelly is daily moisturising care that is supposed to visibly brighten and hydrate for 48 hours.
Garnier Vitamin C clarifying face wash review
Garnier Vitamin C clarifying wash is around 41 DKK, which is about 5-6 Euros. I like the packaging of this product and love that it has a pump, because it is quick and easy to use. What I don’t like is that the pump takes too much product, so I feel like I’m always using more than I need. That results in Garnier Vitamin C clarifying wash using up quickly. Garnier Vitamin C clarifying wash has a thick texture and it foams up a lot. Whenever I use this one I see how much foam it produces on the skin and it definitely takes some time to wash it off. This product has a scent, it is definitely noticeable and it is not really gentle around the eye area. I like that face wash is gentle enough so I can use it around the eye area, especially after removing the makeup as a second cleanse.
This one doesn’t make my eyes sting, but it gives a weird feeling and it is not comfortable. As I can’t use this face wash as a second cleanse after removing makeup I wouldn’t repurchase this one, as for me face wash has to be effective at cleaning the skin, but also has to be really gentle for the eye area. Garnier Vitamin C clarifying wash cleanses skin nicely, it can be a bit drying if I don’t apply the rest of the skin care right away. I didn’t notice any brightening effect with this one, it seems like any normal gel cleanser. As I mentioned I would not repurchase this one, but I will definitely use it up as it is an ok product. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, I think it is nothing amazing, but it is not also a bad product, it is just alright.
Garnier Vitamin C Brightening serum
Packaging is really nice, super easy to use and looks good. I know that this serum is really popular and loved by many, so I had high hopes for it. On the box you can read that this serum is formulated with 3.5% vitamin C, niacinamide and salicylic acid. It is supposed to show first results after only 3 days of use, skin is supposed to look smoother and more even. After 56 days of use 43% dark spots should be lighter. Garnier Vitamin C brightening serum has milky white colour, light and easy to apply and blend texture. It has a scent and it does contain fragrance (last ingredient on the list). Scent is not harsh, it is pretty lightweight, but you definitely feel it while applying this serum. Texture of the serum is really nice, super easy to blend and makes skin appear glowy and healthy. It definitely makes skin soft to the touch, even and glowy. I noticed that my skin appears nicely glowy, soft and hydrated after every use of this serum. Serum feels lightweight on the skin and it doesn’t burn or give tingly sensation on the skin.
Garnier Vitamin C Brightening serum feels nice, makes skin appear healthy and it does help with the process of skin healing. While using this serum I was still getting blemishes and skin imperfections. I feel like this Garnier Vitamin C Brightening serum is very much similar like any other vitamin C serum I tried before. It does help fade imperfections, but the process takes a long time and it needs weeks, sometimes even months to show results. This is not bad serum, it works and it is nice on the skin. I’m not sure if I would repurchase it in future, but it is not a bad product to try.
Garnier Vitamin C Glow Jelly
This is definitely an interesting product. It is a gel texture, transparent product that is easy to apply and blend into the skin. It is such an easy product to throw on, you don’t need a lot of product for one application, so 50 ml of this product can last a long time. I use it after applying serum and before applying my usual SPF. This is regular daily moisturising care that is supposed to hydrate for 48 hours. It is supposed to visibly brighten the skin and it is formulated with 98% ingredients of natural origin. It is formulated with vitamin C and citrus extract for glowy skin. This glow jelly is supposed to make skin hydrated, glowy, brightened and less tired. Garnier Vitamin C glow jelly is a really simple and easy product, it is definitely hydrating, makes skin smooth and soft. You definitely need to apply a little bit of product, because if you apply a lot it feels sticky and a little bit heavy on the skin.
Glow jelly has the same scent like serum and it contains fragrance as the last ingredient on the list. It has a true gel texture that is easy to apply and blend into the skin. It takes no effort to apply and it is really lightweight on the skin. Garnier Vitamin C Glow jelly is an easy product, great for everyday use and it is such an easy product to throw on if your skin is feeling dehydrated or tired. This is a great pick me up product that will hydrate skin deeply and give a beautiful glowy finish. This is a good product, easy to use and really good for daily care. I’m not sure if I should repurchase this one, it is a good product, but I have so many other favourites that I would rather repurchase.
