I have wanted to try this Essence Cosmetics Skin Tint ever since I saw Essence's new spring/summer 2024 update. Unfortunately my review is a bit late as I couldn’t find the shade that will suit me in stores as shades 10 and 20 were sold out everywhere I looked. Finally I managed to find Essence Skin Tint in shade 20 in one store and got it right away. I wanted to get shade 10 as it would fit me a lot better, but I knew that it would be almost impossible to find, so I got shade 20 which seemed to fit great in store. The shade is actually a pretty good match, I feel like it is just a tiny bit darker, but in spring time this will be great as I still don’t have any colour to my skin. In Denmark, the weather has been rainy 80% of the time, so I’m still patiently waiting for sunny weather. Today I’ll share with you my opinion and full review on Essence Skin tint.
Essence Skin Tint has really cute packaging. It is super easy to use and the tube itself looks really cute. You get 30 ml of product or 1.01 fl. oz. As I mentioned I got shade 20 which has a warm undertone, and a yellow shade which is a great match for my really warm skin. Essence Skin Tint hydrating, natural finish has light to medium coverage. This is supposed to be a hydrating foundation with aloe vera and hyaluronic acid. Buildable light to medium coverage foundation that has lightweight and long lasting comfort. It doesn’t contain alcohol or fragrance and has SPF 30. It also doesn’t clog pores. I really had high hopes from this Skin Tint. I think skin tints are great for spring/summer time, I love how lightweight they are and it is great that this product has SPF 30. You get 16 shades in this product, which is pretty good for Essence. I paid 32 DKK which is around 4.6 USD.
Essence Cosmetics Skin Tint has a really lovely texture, it is runny, liquid and super light weight on the skin. I was surprised how well this shade fit me, it looked like it would be a bit too yellow and dark for my skin, but it is actually really nice and it is just a bit darker than my really pale neck right now. I hope that we will get more sun in Denmark, as it has been so rainy since I arrived that it just makes me feel like spring doesn’t exist here. While I’m typing this review it has been raining heavily for hours literally. Formula of this Skin Tint is perfect, it is lightweight on the skin and leaves a lovely healthy glow. Texture is really nice and it blends easily with a brush or beauty sponge. Light layer of Skin Tint nicely evens out skin tone and adds a lovely glow. Second layer definitely gives more coverage, I would say you can get nice medium coverage with two good layers of Essence Skin Tint.
This Skin tint reminds me of Essence Pretty Natural hydrating foundation, it has a pretty similar formula and effect on the skin. I almost used up my Essence Pretty Natural hydrating foundation, which tells you how much I love it, so I will love Essence Skin Tint also. Essence Pretty Natural foundation is a bit thicker in formula, while Skin Tint is really runny. This will be a great every day foundation for summer time, I love that it has SPF 30, I love that it is lightweight, nicely evens out skin tone and it feels like you have moisturiser on the skin. This will become my favourite every day base as I used Essence Pretty Natural hydrating foundation every day. If you are looking for a new everyday base, then Essence Cosmetics Skin Tint is perfect, it is so affordable, but has lovely texture and feels amazing on the skin. I’m so happy I decided to try Essence Skin Tint, it is a great product and I can’t recommend it enough.
