I needed new concealer as when I was travelling back to Bosnia I didn’t bring any makeup with me, because I thought I had everything that I needed in Bosnia. I didn’t have concealer so I thought what a perfect way to buy something new. I knew that Essence came out with a new concealer and I wanted to try it, so I bought an Essence Multi task concealer. Essence raised their prices a bit and I was surprised that this concealer was around 4 Euros. Today I’ll share with you my full review on Essence Multi task concealer.
Packaging is pretty nice, simple, but it works great. Packaging is completely plastic, but it doesn’t seem like it will break with use, as I had before with some Essence makeup packaging. You only get 3 ml of product or 0.10 fl. oz. Product is Vegan and they have about 4 shades available in stores here. I checked online on the official Essence site and there they have 7 shades available. I got Essence Multi task concealer in the shade 05 – Cool Porcelain which is a light warm toned shade. This is supposed to be a concealer that you can use to erase, cover and care for the under eyes. This concealer was a bit pricey for what I’m used to from Essence, it was about 4 Euros. Essence Multi task concealer is supposed to optically erase dark circles, cover imperfections, contour and highlight. This concealer is supposed to be long lasting. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid and caffeine. Essence Multi task concealer is supposed to be buildable, medium to high coverage with natural matte finish. Obviously 3 ml won’t last long and this brush applicator will use up this concealer super fast.
Essence Multi task concealer brush applicator is nice and comfortable to use on under eyes, it doesn’t thug or stab the under eyes, so I would say that this is nice and comfortable to use. I would say that Essence Multi task concealer has thick texture, you don’t need a lot of product for day to day wear. I actually don’t use a lot of Essence Multi task concealer for daily wear as I think it provides decent coverage and I don’t need to build it up. If you wear high coverage concealers then you might need to build this one up, as in one layer it gives decent medium coverage. I personally like medium coverage for under eyes on a day to day basis as I still like that “natural makeup” makeup look. For blemishes Essence Multi task concealer works, but it won’t fully cover. There will still be some redness and blemishes would not be fully covered.
I think this one works as a really nice brightening concealer and you can definitely use it for cream contour and highlight method. Essence Multi task concealer is really easy to blend and you almost don’t need any work at all with a brush. Texture of this concealer is really smooth and it looks beautiful on the skin and lasts the whole day. I usually use my foundation brush to blend this one out and it is so quick and easy. This concealer works for simple and glam makeup looks and it is a really great everyday drugstore concealer. I love how easy this one is, also it is light on under eyes so it doesn’t accentuate small lines and wrinkles. I like Essence Multi task concealer and I would recommend it. If you are looking for a great daily concealer I think this one can be a good option as it is affordable, has decent coverage and it is so easy to work with and blend.
