I needed new finishing powder and as I usually go for loose powders, I decided to change my usual powder of choice and get something different. I got this powder to use as final finishing all over the face powder, I didn’t want to use it for anything else, but using it after I finish my base as a final step to fix everything and add a little bit of natural glow. I saw this powder in a few tik toks and Instagram reels and it really looked like the perfect final glowy veil for the skin and I decided that I want to try it as soon as possible. Today I’ll share with you my full opinion on Catrice Soft Glam Filter powder.
Packaging is typical for Catrice powders, it is a transparent plastic container that has a nice rose gold rim around the powder. Packaging is not incredible, but it is simple and you can easily find this one in your makeup bag. Catrice Soft Glam Filter powder comes with 9 g of product or net wt. 0.31 oz. This powder is in the “shade” 010 – Beautiful you, which is the only shade available as far as I know. This is supposed to be Complexion perfecting face powder and it is supposed to create a radiant finish and soft focus effect. It contains a balanced mix of shades for a healthy look. Catrice Cosmetics claims that this powder fits all skin tones. Catrice Soft Glam Filter powder has a scent, I don’t know how to describe it, it doesn’t remind me of anything, just smells like makeup sometimes smells. It has a combination of three shades: beige, purple and green. When you mix all of them together you get light beige colour that has a lot of glow and some very finely milled shimmer. I can’t really say it is shimmery, it just looks like that healthy glow that gives radiant complexion.
Catrice Soft Glam Filter powder looks really pretty on the skin. It is definitely a glowy powder that gives that beautiful healthy glow without visible shimmer. Brush nicely picks powder, powder is well pressed into the pan and it doesn’t have a lot of powder kick back. It goes smoothly on the skin and you don’t need a lot of powder for the whole face. I usually apply my foundation, concealer, cover possible redness and acne scars and then powder under eyes and T zone with mattifying powder. I do that because my T zone is really oily. If I don’t use really good mattifying powder my skin produces a lot of oil and it doesn’t last the whole day. After I set certain areas of my face then I take Catrice Soft Glam Filter powder and dust it all over my face. This powder really gives that pretty blurring, well known “filter” effect on the skin and it looks really pretty.
I love how easy this powder is to use and apply and what effect it gives to the skin. It really makes makeup look very light weight on the skin, it feels like your skin just looks very healthy and airbrushed. This powder creates a very smooth base for other powder products, so bronzer, highlighter and blush blend so easily on top of this powder. I personally love how Catrice Soft Glam Filter powder looks on my skin, I love how it gives a beautiful healthy glow and makes my skin look pretty and airbrushed. I’m a big fan of this Catrice powder and I would definitely recommend it. If you are looking for a new setting powder definitely check this one out, it is so pretty and it looks beautiful on the skin. Makeup lasts the whole day with this powder on and I didn’t notice makeup looking worse at the end of the day than with some other powders that I used before. Catrice Soft Glam Filter powder is a beautiful setting powder and I will definitely keep purchasing it and using it in my everyday makeup routine.
